Stand-Up Paddleboarding Classes - Simpson Park, St. Louis
Have you ever wanted to walk on water? Get in on the action in the hottest trend in the paddle sports – Stand-Up Paddleboarding (or SUP for short). These stand up boards are versatile, fun, and a new way to experience the water.
This two-hour class will show you the different boards that are available, how to get on and off the board safely, and teach you various paddle strokes used in propulsion and steering.
CLICK HERE to print waiver. Complete waiver and bring with you to class to save time. Waivers will also be available to sign at the class.
Minimum age is 16 and participants must be able to swim.

Terms & Conditions
Due to high demands for these classes NO REFUNDS will be offered with less than seven days advance notification, including no-shows the day of class. If you need to cancel, call 314-962-7715 during shop business hours as soon as possible. Transfers between classes can only be made on requests received at least seven days in advance of originally scheduled class. ALL transfers will be charged a $20 processing fee.
Each person will be required to complete and sign a liability waiver prior to beginning the class. Minimum age for this class is 16 years.
Class is conducted regardless of weather and is only canceled in the event of lightning, high winds or flood condition. Cancellations are based on the conditions at Shaw Nature Reserve. Severe weather may cause us to alter start and end times and/or temporarily suspend the class. Transfers or full refunds will only be issued if the class is canceled by the Alpine Shop.
Alpine Shop is not responsible for lost or missing personal property.

General Information / Weather-Related Issues:
You should dress in weather-appropriate clothing and footwear that can get wet. Class will proceed even in colder-than-normal conditions. Students provide their own snacks, drinking water, hat, sunscreen and eyeglass retainers. We strongly suggest attending one of our Kayaking Dry Land Basics seminars before taking this course.
